We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a 6-month fixed term Principal Project Manager in South West England, although flexibility to travel to other locations throughout the UK will be required. We can consider this becoming a secondment opportunity if applying within Amey.

 

The salary is competitive, with the package including a company car.

The hours of work are 40 per week, Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00.

This is a high-profile contract with an annual total value of c.£200m. The project portfolio consists of a range of projects which vary from large scale projects such as full provision/refurbishing of prison facilities to more minor maintenance projects such as replacement of plant and equipment.

 

What you will do:

Managing a high performing team of Project Managers to ensure Operational Delivery across various locations, providing support as required in each location.
Taking ownership and delivery of all projects, either directly delivered by you, or falling under your control as part of the regional portfolio.
Direction of Project Managers to develop and deliver all project works, including large and complex projects.
Facilitating and monitoring works on site and engaging with Amey Site Teams and other project stakeholders to ensure highest levels of Health, Safety and Quality are achieved, project timescales and cost targets are met.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through liaising with a range of MOJ stakeholders, regionally based Project Managers and Project Quantity Surveyors.
What you will bring:

Experienced in managing on site project works on a number of sites and co-ordination of several sub-contractors in the delivery of a single project.
Experience in developing and managing project work.
A strong team player, highly organised and a good communicator.
Able to demonstrate project cost control.
Able to develop design specifications, health and safety plans and other key documentation associated with the definition, competition and delivery of projects.
Well versed in use of Microsoft Office
Ideally, you will hold a relevant Building or M&E qualification with experience in CDM Regulations.
