We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Consultant Surveyor to join our Corporate Property and Land Service. With a diverse estate across County Durham and major regeneration programmes underway, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the county’s future.

About the Role
As Consultant Surveyor (Property Projects & Information), you will lead the delivery of capital and revenue project support, ensuring the team can respond effectively to specialist project requirements. You will oversee the collection, management and development of property information, as well as drive continuous improvement in policies, procedures and processes relating to projects, capital accounting and data management.

You’ll manage a dedicated team, contribute to corporate objectives, and ensure the Council’s property portfolio is managed efficiently and in line with local authority requirements. Knowledge of capital accounting valuations, CIPFA/IFRS standards, landlord and tenant matters, and property management is essential.

What You’ll Need
Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Evidence of ongoing professional development
