Security Vetting Support Officer

Guidant Global is partnering with a trusted Ministry of Defence client in the UK to find an experienced Security Vetting Support Officer. This role is crucial for managing security-vetted personnel and ensuring the safe handling of sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support recruitment in obtaining security clearances for new employees.
• Manage confidential and complex vetting enquiries.
• Act as the point of contact for vetting issues.
• Liaise with UKSV and other external agencies.
• Work with external IT platforms to update security clearances.
• Provide support to Security Services and lead departmental projects.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service experience and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Experience with electronic vetting databases and IT platforms.
• Integrity and ability to handle sensitive data confidentially.
• Ability to obtain national security vetting and BPSS.
• Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new standards.

Desirable:

• Experience with HMG BPSS and UKSV vetting processes.
• Knowledge of MOD and defence industry.
• Relevant vetting qualifications.
• Awareness of recruitment and onboarding processes in the defence industry.
• Experience in delivering training.

Security Clearance:

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
