Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced RF Designer to research, design, and test advanced radio-frequency technology for integration into complex weapons systems. The successful candidate will leverage their practical experience to make modifications and create rapid prototypes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of a proactive team passionate about electronic engineering, you will interface with various stakeholders, including the Datalink core team, Design Authority, and other functional groups, ensuring timely and seamless integration of designs into the system.

What You Need:

  • Proven practical RF design and testing of RF circuits across a wide frequency range (e.g., 30MHz to 30GHz).
  • Experience in RF design for harsh environments (EMC, vibration, thermal).
  • Ability to perform design proving tests and trials in the onsite laboratory.
  • Excellent practical skills, including soldering, fault finding, and the use of RF test equipment.
  • Good knowledge of digital, analogue, and power supply design.
  • Experience using RF design tools (e.g., Microwave Office), including layout.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and capabilities, including design for manufacture and test.

Security Clearance:
