Job Purpose:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a project across multiple locations, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of all contractual obligations. The role requires strong project and people management skills to lead the team and maintain high standards in service delivery.
Key Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Deliverables:
Manage the P&L for the project and lead operational activities to optimize value for money.
Build strong relationships with client staff and representatives to foster collaboration and improve the commercial position.
Lead and motivate the delivery teams towards meeting stakeholders’ expectations and contractual obligations.
Conduct site inspections and audits with stakeholders, ensuring timely action on outcomes.
Engage in tender activities and develop cost-effective solutions for the client.
Ensure qualified and experienced teams are in place, applying HR strategies to recruit, develop, and retain the necessary staff.
Develop operational plans for mobilisation and transition that meet commercial and operational deliverables.
Oversee the creation and implementation of project programmes for the project.
Lead lessons learned reviews and progress meetings with clients and stakeholders.
Ensure all activities comply with company policies and procedures in areas such as health and safety, financial reporting, commercial obligations, HR, and employee welfare.
Promote the company’s image and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and external parties.
Candidate Profile:
Skills and Experience:
Willingness to travel.
Comprehensive knowledge of project services within the UK.
Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams across wide geographical areas.
Experienced in driving transformational change and leading teams towards acceptance of new methods and working practices.
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of success in complex contracts.
Experienced in managing supply chain partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Natural leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and bring out the best in people.
Ability to work under pressure and identify win-win solutions in challenging situations.
Strong energy and enthusiasm to get things done.
Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
