The Role:
¨ Purchase of consumables and tooling.
¨ Maintain database integrity on prices, lead times.
¨ Expediting orders with suppliers.
¨ Departmental administration.
¨ Communicate with internal and external stakeholders providing updates.
¨ Using manufacturing/engineering experience to manage and improve non-conformances.
¨ Consulting with Design team and QA team to assist in value engineering.
Candidate
To succeed in this challenging role, the ideal candidate should have the following skill set:
¨ A strong negotiator with excellent telephone manner.
¨ Highly organised both in written and verbal communications.
¨ Solution orientated incorporating creative and innovative ideas.
¨ Ability to remain calm under pressure and able to meet strict deadlines.
¨ Good numeric and literacy skills.
¨ Attention to detail.
¨ Ability to problem solve and use own initiative.
Technical
¨ Microsoft office – Publisher/word/excel/PowerPoint.
¨ Access Supply Chain (training can be given)
¨ Understanding or ability to read CAD drawings.
¨ Have a background in engineering or manufacturing procurement.
