Construction
Our Construction Courses are designed to help you find meaningful employment in the construction industry by building practical skills and helping you get the right qualifications to start your career.
Portland’s courses will equip you with the qualification needed to get your Green CSCS card and start working in the industry. After you’ve started working, we have a comprehensive list of additional NVQ courses (Levels 2-7) to help you build your skills and progress further.
All our tutors are construction industry experts who understand the pressures of the industry and will be on hand to guide you through the process and beyond.
IT Training
Our IT courses have been built to give learners core skills in highly sought-after IT specialisms, and build on existing knowledge to provide solid routes into employment in IT. Practical application of skills is a key element of all of our IT courses, to fully prepare you for employment.
Portland`s Software Development courses are centered around the programming language Python and include a range of units covering the fundamentals of software development.
Our IT Technical Support courses focus on hardware, with units covering cybersecurity, data management, and device configuration.

Portland’s construction courses provide you with a level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification, enabling you to obtain your CSCS card. You’ll receive your CSCS card free of charge as we cover the price of the card and CITB touch screen test.
Portland Training’s Stewarding/Door supervisor course provides you the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in a variety of security related areas, and equip you with an SIA Licence which is essential to work within the security industry.
