As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient coordination of the logistics activities. Your responsibilities will include managing plant and equipment, coordinating transportation, and liaising with suppliers and project managers. This is a key requirement as some of the equipment needs to be serviced and maintained to a high degree, i.e. diving equipment, so knowledge of the rules and regulations is desirable.

Location: Fareham, Hampshire (Operating UK Wide)

Therefore, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and optimise the management of plant and equipment for timely material/equipment delivery to project sites.
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records for maintenance and certification, especially important for the diving equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers/vendors to procure equipment and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Collaborate with project managers to anticipate logistical needs and address potential issues, i.e. forward planning.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams on delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a safe and organised warehouse and yard environment adhering to regulations.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues with plant and equipment would also be a useful skill.

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Prior logistics coordination or related experience
  • Strong organisational and task prioritisation abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience diagnosing/fixing mechanical plant (preferred)

The ideal candidate would be someone from either a logistics or diving background who is able to manage the logistical function for this company, and who is seeking a role that will not be the same every single day and who is looking to progress their career in this sector.

In return they are offering up to £35k, depending on your skills, knowledge and experience, as well as company pension and performance related bonuses. Career advancement is also available in this rapidly growing close -knit company, where you will work in a collaborative team environment and knowing that your work will have meaningful impact maritime construction projects and the local environment.
