Shift Lead Technician – Data Centre

Location: Hillingdon, Greater London

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum

Role Overview: 

We are currently seeking a proficient Shift Lead Technician with specialized expertise in either Electrical or Mechanical systems to maintain and elevate engineering standards within our critical site environments. As a key member of our team, you will ensure meticulous maintenance and uphold operational excellence in our data center facilities.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead maintenance activities to ensure adherence to the highest standards of operation.

Manage upkeep for various critical systems including, but not limited to:

Boiler Systems
Cooling Towers
AHUs (Air Handling Units)
FCUs (Fan Coil Units)
Pumps and Motors
BMS (Building Management Systems)
LV / HV (Low Voltage / High Voltage)
HV Switching
Changing Ballast
Emergency light testing
Electrical Installations

Execute preventive maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Collaborate closely with management to identify and implement measures for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within a critical site environment, preferably a data center.
Electrical or Mechanical qualification or equivalent experience.
Strong technical knowledge of relevant systems and equipment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work shifts as required.
