Purpose of the Role
The Financial Accountant will be a key member of the Financial Control team – participating fully in all areas of financial control and compliance with a particular focus on financial reporting, technical accounting,
Person Specification
Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA.
Strong grounding in technical accounting and control.
Excellent communication skills.
A proactive problem solver who thrives on improving processes and resolving issues.
Consistent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination of fixed asset accounting and reconciliation
IFRS16 lease accounting
Preparation and change control of statutory accounts
Drive high-quality, timely balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues proactively
Support external and internal audit processes
Provide expert guidance on accounting standards, company law, and HMRC regulations, and share relevant updates across the business.
Collaborate with other finance teams and the wider business to mitigate risk
Support in the preparation of tax computations
Other ad hoc responsibilities as defined by the UK Financial Controller
As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
