About Us
For more than 30 years, Thurra has built a reputation as an independent engineering inspection specialist, trusted by clients across industries to deliver inspections that are professional, responsive and trouble free. Our team of highly qualified Engineer Surveyors carry out statutory and contractual inspections on a wide range of plant and equipment; from lifts, lifting gear and pressure systems to power presses, press brakes and local exhaust ventilation. We work in accordance with LOLER 98, PSSR 2000, PUWER, and COSHH, helping our clients stay compliant while giving them complete peace of mind.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our growing team of surveyors. Ideally, you will bring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering – such as ONC, NVQ Level III or City & Guild full Tech Cert (or equivalent) – alongside relevant hands-on experience. A full UK driving licence is essential.
While not required, we would also welcome candidates who hold Incorporated Engineer status (or equivalent qualifications such as HNC or NVQ Level IV), additional City & Guild certifications or previous experience in in-service inspections.
As a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, we actively support the Armed Forces community and warmly encourage applications from veterans, reservists, and military spouses, whose skills and experience strengthen our team.
