Electrical Operative – PAT Tester

Location: Oldbury-on-Severn

Contract: Permanent | Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday (NO FRIDAYS)

About the role

Amey is recruiting a PAT Tester to join the team in Oldbury-on-Severn. This is a secure, site-based role offering a 4-day working week, a supportive team environment, and a strong focus on quality over speed.

Working on-site, you’ll ensure all electrical equipment is safe, compliant and tested to current standards. The environment is structured and safety-led, with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Key responsibilities

· Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across site

· Ensure all equipment complies with current safety standards

· Maintain accurate testing records and documentation

· Work safely and in line with procedures

· Manage your own workload while supporting the team

What you’ll bring

Required

· City & Guilds 2377 (PAT Testing qualification)

· Strong organisational skills

· Excellent attention to detail

· Good communication skills

· Basic IT skills

Desirable

· Previous PAT testing experience

· Experience using SimplyPATS software

· Ability to work independently and in a team

· Proactive approach
