Your new role
Empty Homes team
We’re responsible for making sure the properties are re-let in a timely manner, working with our in-house Trades and also closely with sub-contractors ensuring Empty Homes are returned to new customers with all maintenance work and repairs carried out safely, and to the highest standard. We’re also work alongside housing and lettings teams, and new residents to make sure everything runs smoothly turning an empty home to warm, welcoming home.
Your new role
We’re looking for Multi Skilled Operative to join Empty Homes team where you’ll be completing a wide variety of trades tasks to a high standard with an emphasis on delivering an efficient repairs service to customers. Dependent on the area role you apply for, You’ll be working around Eastleigh, Southampton, Hampshire, Bracknell and surrounding areas.
You’ll be a good communicator, have an achievement-based approach to your work and be motivated. A City & Guilds or NVQ qualification relating to the above trade skills and previous experience is required.
Knowledge, skills, and experience required
Competent to complete a wide variety carpentry, plumbing and other trade tasks at multiskilled level • Demonstrable experience with a variety of carpentry and plumbing works across a variety of properties • Minimum NVQ level 2, or time served experience in either carpentry, masonry and/or plumbing with proven competency in non-core trades. • Experience of working as part of a trade team delivering to tight timescales • Full Driving licence (clean)
We’ll provide you with your uniform, a van including fuel card, van vault, racking and inverter, company tablet & mobile as well as the PPE you need to let you crack on with what you do best. You’ll be expected to supply your own hand tools and power tools. You’ll require to cover Out of Hours Callouts on a rota basis so a clean driving license is a must!
In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for the organisation by using your ‘can do’ attitude to provide a high-quality, ‘right first time’ service.
