Our client, a partner of the UK’s Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their Calibration & Maintenance Team. You will service Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE), and handle fault finding, repairs, routine calibrations, commissioning, and drift analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Operators and Technicians in the C&M department.
  • Maintain and repair Test and measuring equipment at the component level.
  • Generate clear calibration and maintenance records.
  • Test safety systems of Test and measuring equipment.
  • Commission and accept test facilities, ensuring proper configuration control.
  • Provide technical support for efficient servicing of STTE and resolve equipment failures.
  • Offer technical advice to the Integrated Production Team as the Calibration representative.

 

What You Need:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience in test equipment calibration and maintenance down to the component level.
  • Understanding of calibration principles and processes.
  • Ability to provide technical advice, fault finding, and repairs using instructions and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with RF test equipment and various testing systems (DIO, AIO, RF, temperature, communication).
  • Excellent communication skills tailored to specific audiences.

 

Security Clearance:

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
