At Serco, we’re proud to deliver aviation support services at RNAS Yeovilton in support of the Fleet Air Arm and Wildcat Maritime Force. From front-line aircraft maintenance to off-aircraft support and fuel delivery, our team plays a vital role in keeping Wildcat helicopters mission-ready.

As an Aircraft Engineering Supervisor on our team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering support and ground services for the Wildcat platform. You’ll be responsible for both day-to-day aircraft management and ground support, ensuring all contracted tasks meet regulatory and customer requirements. Alongside essential administrative responsibilities and a strong focus on safety and compliance, you’ll have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to support your growth and continued development – all while working in a dynamic and highly regulated environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are essential.

What you’ll need:

  • Aircraft Experience and CertificationA minimum of 6 years working in an airworthiness environment, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
  • Formal training on the Wildcat aircraft and its associated trade systems.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Certificate of Competency at Supervisory Level.
  • Technical KnowledgeStrong working knowledge of Wildcat aircraft engineering, systems (by trade), servicing procedures, and support equipment.
  • Good understanding of Naval Air Publications and CIETP (Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications).
  • Safety, Quality and ComplianceDemonstrated commitment to Health and Safety practices, including COSHH, tool control, and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of airworthiness engineering safety and compliance in accordance with MAA regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Maintenance and Engineering SystemsFamiliarity with engineering and asset management systems.
  • Completed, or willing to complete, Maintenance Human Factors training.
  • Awareness of Lean Operating Procedures.
  • Understanding of rotary-wing military aviation procedures and operational standards.

You must be able to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance.
