Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and animals? Are you a compassionate and Qualified Therapist, Teacher, nurse or Registered Counsellor? Do you have a playful, caring dog by your side? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Hope’s Therapy Dogs and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children.

Main Responsibilities:

Therapeutic Engagement:
Conducting one-to-one sessions with children young people or adults alongside your therapy dog in various locations within the Liverpool/Warrington/Widnes/Lancashire and greater Manchester areas. (Please note, sessions are time limited to ensure the well-being of our therapy dogs.)

Effective Communication:
Collaborating with school staff, parents, and other relevant parties to ensure the children’s welfare.

Dog Welfare Management:
Prioritising and managing the well-being of your dog, with sessions time limited to prevent stress or anxiety.

Stay Informed:
Keeping abreast of changes in therapy and dog handling regulations within school settings.

Safety Compliance:
Advanced DBS clearance and adherence to safeguarding standards are essential.

Stay Connected:
You’ll be in regular communication with Owner/Director Alison Colley, ensuring clear channels of support and collaboration.
