About the role:

Main Purpose of Job
Working closely with the Programme Director to support the project implementation of new projects
and the ongoing management of NSSLGlobal’s MOD project portfolios to meet the customer’s and
company’s requirements.

Responsibilities:

SAS3, CSCS and MMM oversight/ownership at service management level.

  •  Managing an entire picture of all ongoing projects against contract scopes. Working with other
    PMs as required. Matrix is suggested.
  • Capturing programme overviews (schedules, risks, implementation plans, and open jobs).
  • Project management ownership of your own projects across all three contracts. Including:
    • Production and ongoing management of high-quality documentation including Project
      Management Plans, Risk Registers, Project Schedules, and other project
      documentation as required.
    • Ensuring internal service launches capture all relevant information such that support etc aware of new services, documentation is captured and maintained etc.
  •  Acting as support contact for projects under remit of the role.
  • Assist in managing the resolution process to ensure project engineering/technical issues are rectified.
  • Assisting in the roll-out of Service Management and Group Planner function.
  • Assisting in improving our through-life support function.
  • Support other Project Managers in the project implementation and ensure that projects progress smoothly through the company and according to agreed timescales.
  • To represent the Company at key customer project and commercial meetings.
  • Taking management responsibility (as required) as the Project Management Team grows.
  • Assisting in bid writing across MOD and Government tenders.
  • To undertake any project management duties as may be required and as directed by the Programme Director.

Location and Commitments:

  • Permanent Full Time Position, based in our in our Redhill office. You need to be located within 1 hour travel of the office

Candidate requirements:

  • Ability to work hard, show tenacity, proactively work on own initiative, solve problems using
    own judgement, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results.
  • Be adept at working with uncertainty and changing priorities.
  • Must hold or have the ability to achieve DV Security Clearance.
  • Project management experience with UK MOD and other UK government departments.
  • Technical experience of electrical/electronic, IT networking equipment and satellite
    communication. Engineering or science degree preferred but not essential.
  • Commercial experience and thorough understanding of UK MOD contracting processes and
    procedures (specifically Defence Digital and DE&S).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be extremely customer focused with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experienced in standard office applications.
  • The ability to produce a high standard of work which meets or exceeds customer’s
    requirements.
  • Flexibility with regards to travel and requirements of the role.
